During times like these, when life seems to be in overdrive, it can be easy to place the needs of our mental wellness in the backseat. Driven by our responsibilities and the demands of modern society, we tend to neglect the most critical aspect of our well-being - our mental health.


But, my dear readers, it is during these times that it is critical to take the time to pause, reflect, and embark on a journey toward inner peace and mental wellness. It includes setting boundaries with others and the things in your life and prioritizing activities that nourish your mind, body, and soul.

Mindfulness is another key component of mental wellness. It's about being present and fully engaged in your thoughts and feelings without judgment. Now, I know that this is the hard part - the no-judgment part. We are hard-wired to judge ourselves (and sometimes pretty harshly), yet we are awakened to a new form of living when we release judgment (of ourselves and others); a less stringent, resentful, and more free life. Mindfulness is not just about you. It is a gift that reaps rewards in the world around you consistently with each thought.


As a yoga and mindfulness instructor, I have witnessed how mindfulness practices can reduce stress, improve focus, and enhance overall well-being.
